Gentrification

This process of gentrification is going on throughout the whole world and is a very sad thing that seems to be killing the "Mom & Pop" shops and replacing them with Starbucks, Chitoples, Best Buys, Olive Gardens, Chilis, etc...

Not only is it pushing people out of their lives (neighborhoods), but it is also destroying their memories just so venture capitalists can build these yuppie establishments that have no sense of culture whatsoever! It really pisses me off that people are subliminally supporting this yuppie movement that's destroying people's individuality and originality since now you no longer have the choice of Jerry's Diner, Regina's, etc. (independent stores), but now you have to choose from Chili's or Applebee's.
