The American Nightmare

It's sad how the American Dream is actually a delusion. The whole "work hard to progress" is a complete cop-out. Working your ass off to keep your job and possibly receive a dollar raise every year is bullshit. The whole corporate structure is flawed and definitely meant to keep you controlled. You can sit at your cubicle, and kiss your supervisor, Bill's ass all you want asking him if he watched the game last night , but you are nothing more than a disposable entity to the corporate structure. You could work at your job for 30 years and get "let go" and replaced by a college graduate they will hire for $20,000 a year less than you were making. The corporate world is a slippery slope; don't let your comfy manufactured home in a development, your "green-friendly" Prius, and your comfy 401k fool you; your ass can be replaced in a blink of an eye. If you have the ability to work for yourself and support your lifestyle by establishing your own business venture, do so. Follow your dreams; have a damn plan written down. Don't be a corporate slave.
